Terms & Conditions — Fjord Tents ApS

1. Parties & Definitions

"Fjord Tents" means Fjord Tents ApS, Marselis Boulevard 48, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark, CVR 34561289. "Customer" means any natural or legal person placing an order with Fjord Tents. "Products" means any goods manufactured, supplied or repaired by Fjord Tents. These Terms apply to all orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Quotations & Orders

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A binding contract is formed when the Customer confirms acceptance of a quotation in writing (including by email) and Fjord Tents acknowledges receipt of the order confirmation. Any changes to the order after confirmation require written agreement and may affect price and delivery date.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in DKK or EUR as stated in the quotation, exclusive of VAT unless indicated otherwise.
Danish VAT (MOMS, currently 25%) will be added to invoices where applicable. B2B customers with a valid EU VAT number may apply the reverse charge.
Payment terms: 40% deposit upon order confirmation; 60% balance before dispatch. Lead times do not start until the deposit is received.
Payment by IBAN bank transfer or credit card. For credit card payments, a 1.5% processing fee applies.
Invoices are payable within 8 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments accrue interest at 2% per month from the due date.

4. Delivery

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.
Default delivery terms: EXW Aarhus (Incoterms® 2020). Title and risk pass to the Customer when goods are collected or handed to a carrier.
Shipping charges are estimated separately and added to the final invoice.
Fjord Tents is not liable for delays caused by carrier, customs clearance, force majeure or events outside our reasonable control.

5. Custom Orders & Design Approval

For custom products, the Customer approves technical drawings before production begins. Once production starts, changes may not be possible and may incur additional costs. The Customer warrants that any branding, logos or artwork supplied does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

6. Warranty

Fjord Tents warrants all products against structural defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the date of delivery.
The warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear, UV fading, damage from misuse, improper storage, modification by third parties, or damage caused by extreme weather beyond the product's rated specifications.
To make a warranty claim, contact us with photos and a description of the defect. We will inspect and, if the claim is valid, repair or replace the product at our cost.
Spare parts and consumables are available from Fjord Tents for the lifetime of the product.

7. Returns & Cancellations

Standard (non-custom) products may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in original packaging. The Customer bears return shipping costs. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

Custom-manufactured products cannot be returned unless defective. Order cancellations after production has started will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may incur additional charges for work already completed.

8. Limitation of Liability

Fjord Tents' total liability to the Customer for any claim shall not exceed the invoice value of the Products giving rise to the claim. Fjord Tents shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or economic loss including loss of profit, revenue or business.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Retten i Aarhus (the Aarhus District Court). For international commercial disputes, the parties may agree to arbitration under the rules of the Danish Institute of Arbitration (DIA).

10. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic, fire, war, government action, transport strikes or material shortages. The affected party must notify the other promptly in writing.

11. Changes to Terms

Fjord Tents reserves the right to update these Terms. The version in force at the time of order confirmation applies to that order. Current Terms are available at fjordtents.dk/terms.html.
